This area is famous for Pecorino Cheese. Pecora is the Italian word for Sheep and Pecorino is Sheep’s Cheese. You can find it fresh, semi-aged or aged and each has its own distinct texture and flavor. In addition you will find Pecorino with nuts, or wrapped in vine leaves or with truffle inside. We will take you to see how the cheese is made and to taste a selection on an organic farm here in the area. |
